The U.S stocks incline this week within the mid-day trading despite the fact and mounting concerns that equities are over-valued due to so far cheerful results from huge U.S corporations such as Procter & Gamble Co., SanDisk Corp and Chevron Corp, which supported accordingly the extension of the stock market for a second consecutive week.
Indices performance came as follows:
The Dow Jones Industrial Average index gained 47.09 points or 0.48% to reach 9831.01 levels.
The index added and slashed points based on the performance of the upcoming stocks; the stocks adding the most points to the index were Procter & Gamble Corp stock as it inclined $1.83 or 3.30% to add 13.88 points and reach at $57.36, then came Chevron Corp share as it inclined $0.90 or 1.25% adding to the index 6.88 points and reach at $72.87, finally the Hewlett-Packard Inc share inclined $0.68 or 1.49% providing the index with 5.14 points as it reached $46.39.
On the contrary the index shed points due to Caterpillar Inc share as it declined $0.57 or 1.06% to cut 4.31 points from the index as it reached $53.32, then came American Express as it dropped $0.49 or 1.40% costing the index 3.70 points and reaching $34.51, finally the Travellers Cos Co share declined $0.17 or 0.36% subtracting 1.28 points from the index and reaching $47.53.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index added 3.25 points or 3.25% to reach 1068.74 levels.
The index added and slashed points based on the performance of the upcoming stocks; the stocks adding the most points to the index were Harman International stock as it inclined $2.12 or 7.00% and reach $32.42, then came E+Trade Financial Corp share as it inclined $0.09 or 5.29% and reach at 1.79, finally the MBIA Inc share inclined $0.35 or 5.23% providing the index with 5.23 points as it reaching $7.04.
On the contrary the index shed points due to Conventy Health share as it declined $1.08 or 4.95% to cut 20.75 points as it reached $20.75, then came Office Depot Inc as it dropped $0.25 or 3.92% and reaching at $6.13, finally the Huntington Bancorp share declined $0.17 or 3.77% and reaching $4.34.
