U.S stocks end up mixed …

The U.S stocks ended up mixed this week as huge corporations such as Merck & Co, McDonald's Corp and AT&T Inc. plunged after that drug makers, sellers of consumer goods and phone companies reported considerable drops throughout the Standard & Poor's 500 index, despite the slight incline of US Uni. of Michigan Confidence that came in at 65.7,
Indices performance came as follows:
The Dow Jones Industrial Average index shed 36.4 points or 0.38% to close at 9544.20 levels, the index reached the highest point at 9495.98 and the lowest point at 9495.98, By closing 10 shares inclined while 20 shares declined.
The index added and slashed points based on the performance of the upcoming stocks; the index shed points due to IBM share as it declined $1.21 or 1.01% to cut 9.14 points from the index as it closed at $118.22, then came McDonalds Corp as it dropped $1.09 or 8.24% costing the index 8.24 points and closing at $56.07, finally the Boeing Co share declined $0.78 or 1.51% subtracting 5.89 points from the index and closing at $51.04.
On the contrary the stocks adding the most points to the index were Intel Corp stock as it inclined $0.78 or 4.01% to add 5.89 points and close at $20.25, then came Travelers Cos share as it inclined $0.41 or 0.83% adding to the index 3.10 points and close at $49.61, finally the 3M Co share inclined $0.29 or 0.40% providing the index with 2.19 points as it closed at $71.92.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index lost 2.05 points or 0.20% to close at 1028.93 levels, the index reached the highest point at 1039.47 and the lowest point at 1023.13, By closing 215 shares inclined while 273 shares declined and 12 shares remained unchanged.
The index added and slashed points based on the performance of the upcoming stocks; the index shed points due to Exxon Mobil Corp share as it declined $0.74 or 1.04% to cut 0.41 points from the index as it closed at $70.12, then came JPMorgan Chase & Co as it dropped $0.53 or 1.22% costing the index 0.24 points and closing at $42.92, finally the Wells Fargo & Co share declined $0.44 or 1.59% subtracting 0.23 points from the index and closing at $27.30.
On the contrary the stocks adding the most points to the index were Intel Corp stock as it inclined $0.78 or 0.50% to add 4.01 points and close at $20.25, then came Citigroup Inc share as it inclined $0.18 or 3.56% adding to the index 0.23 points and close at $5.23, finally the Dow Chemical share inclined $0.63 or 2.96% providing the index with 0.08 points as it closed at $21.89.
The NASDAQ Composite Index inclined 1.04 points or 0.05% to close at 2028.77 levels, the index reached the highest point at 2059.48 and the lowest point at 2017.42, By closing 879 shares inclined while 1672 shares declined and 253 shares remained unchanged.
The index added and slashed points based on the performance of the upcoming stocks; the stocks adding the most points to the index were Intel Corp share as it inclined $0.78 or 4.01% to add 2.90 points from the index as it closed at $20.25, then came Cisco Systems as it inclined $0.12 or 0.55% adding the index 0.46 points and closing at $22.00, finally the Dell Inc share inclined $0.28 or 1.79% adding 0.36 points to the index and closing at $15.93.
On the contrary the index shed points due to Amazon.com Inc share as it declined $1.55 or 1.84% to cut 0.44 points from the index as it closed at $82.76, then came Amgen Inc as it dropped $0.64 or 1.06% costing the index 0.43 points and closing at $59.61, finally the Gilead Science Inc share declined $0.57 or 1.24% subtracting 0.34 points from the index and closing at $45.25.
As for the New York Stock Exchange the most active stocks throughout today were; Citigroup Inc Share as it inclined $0.18 to close at $5.23. The second active stock was Fannie Mae Share as it rose to $0.12 to close at 2.04$. Finally The Federal Loan Mortgage Corp Share gained $0.16 to close at $2.40.
