Altis Partners: The Altis Partners (Jersey) Limited Bursary Scheme

Altis Partners is a hedge fund which uses its own pioneering technology to make investment decisions and deliver consistent performance over the long-term; this is achieved through the intelligent application of exacting technology and inspired thinking.  Altis is a blend of precise, number-driven risk management, and incisive, informed thinking of a committed and passionate team.

We have ambitious plans for the future which can only be realised with the talent and expertise of our employees. We are always looking for enthusiastic and innovative people who are interested in mathematics, computer science, engineering or physics to join our creative team. At Altis we believe we get the most out of our employees by providing a relaxed workplace which stimulates the exchange of ideas between colleagues.

Each year Altis Partners will be awarding bursaries to students who are considering acareer in quantitative finance in order to assist them with their studies at university. The bursary scheme is available to all upper-sixth formers who are applying to study for a maths, physics, computer science, engineering degree, or a joint honours with maths.

In order to be considered for the bursary students are required to submit an application form together with a brief personal statement. Successful applicants will then be invited to attend a formal interview after which the winner of the bursary will be selected to receive £1,500 per annum for the first 3 years of their degree course. The winning applicant will also have the opportunity of a paid internship (of at least 6 weeks) during their summer vacation.

There are no other obligations; all we ask is that if a bursary is accepted from us then no

other bursary is accepted from any other firm/organisation. We are a very friendly,

forward-thinking firm and would also like to remain in close contact with all our bursary students to find out how they are progressing.
